End of Life Doula

Crossroad House has launched an End of Life Doula program that has already trained our first 3 classes of caregivers and now have 40 volunteer doulas ready to serve our community.  We utilize the Doula approach here at our home and our trained volunteers can also provide Doula services in the community as well.  As our program expands and more people are trained to provide this vital and compassionate service, our community will transform the way it responds to end of life wishes.  Empowering families and caregivers to create lasting legacies, impactful memories and beautiful transitions will be the gift that many can give to their loved ones.

If you would like more information on doula services for you or your loved one, call Kathy Panepento at 585-343-3892.  Our next training module will be a 3 day training that allows participants to complete the same 8 week course over a long weekend.  We are scheduling the 3 day training for Fri. Feb. 9th 6pm - 9pm; Sat. & Sun. Feb. 10th & 11th 9am - 6pm.  It will take place at the ARC Community Center, 38 Woodrow Rd. Batavia. The training is free and open to the public.  No caregiving experience required, only a willing spirit and a passion to serve.  If you are interested in becoming an End of Life Doula, email Kathy Panepento at Kathypanepento@gmail.com or call Crossroads House at 585-343-3892
